Our hugely successful Dragons Martial Arts combines elements of traditional Martial Arts such as Tae Kwon Do and Karate with elements of Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts. Our Dragons classes are ideal for students aged 4.5–8 years.

The program is designed to keep kids active, and teaches the importance of exercise as fun while building strong bodies and promoting a healthy lifestyle. A specific syllabus is taught for each belt, and belts become more complex and challenging as students gain more experience. Grading’s take place at regular intervals to enable each student to advance at their own pace.

We aim to engage young students by encouraging cooperation, concentration and self-discipline. We feel this encourages higher self-esteem and teaches students to respect themselves and others. This is achieved through fun games and drills, which all aid in improved hand and eye coordination, balance and general fitness.

All of our coaches have been checked for their suitability for working with young people via the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB), have child protection training, up to date first aid certificates and are fully insured to teach. Many are also fully qualified Personal Trainers, meaning only the safest training for your child. Genesis Gym has a commitment to safeguarding children and has a full safeguarding policy.
